I’ve had Wallula Gap on my “to do” list for quite some time and I finally got to do this hike. I’m planning to go back soon as this is a really enjoyable hike.
Check out the hike directions and details on the “hike” page here.
Though it was a drizzly day, there was still plenty to see. This is a great time to hike as there are desert wildflowers galore.
I saw a couple of White-Tailed Deer bouncing along but they were too quick to get any pictures. Barges and even a few boats were visible on the river, braving the wind and rain.
The views were beautiful, I look forward to a return trip. This spectacular geologic wonder is quite a sight to see, especially when you learn about the history of our area and the events that shaped our wonderful terrain.
