I had to strike a minor bargain but I got to go hiking with my son again this morning on Badger Mountain!
Yes, it was snowing but not too heavy. Yes, there was a bit of a headwind but not too strong. Yes, it was a little chilly but nothing a good, brisk hike and some gloves, earmuffs and jacket won’t fix!
We did have a good time guessing the boot size of the one person who had hiked ahead of us (Justin was right with size 12). We also had some intermittent snowball fights and Justin wanted to try and built a snowball that would theoretically grow into a car crushing giant as it rolled down the hill but it didn’t quite work!
We got to the top with a nice view of the Tri-Cities obscured by low clouds.
We did have good vistas on the way up and down with some beautiful snow dusted plant life along the way.
We only saw about 8 people on the mountain today, a nice way to spend an hour and have a little fun with snowball fights along the way!
