May is a wonderful time of year for hiking. Its warming up, there’s plenty of sunshine, wildflowers are blooming.
Butterflies are out on the trails around the Columbia Basin
Watch out as my favorite flower, the Mariposa Lily will be blooming soon! The last couple of hikes I’ve noticed the butterflies are out! It happens every May and it is so fun to walk through the voluminous number of butterflies flying around you. I’m not sure what variety these butterflies are. If you can help identify them, I would be very grateful! Yes, there are snakes out so hike carefully but enjoy the wildflowers and the butterflies before they’re gone for another year.
