Recently, he has had to dodge various wildfires burning in the wilderness.The wildfires actually forced Aaron and his group to take a detour. They were so close they actually watched some of the firefighting efforts from the Pacific Crest Trail. Ellig and his group also survived several days of rain and got soaked to the bone. They had a great view of Crater Lake from the rim of the crater.
This past Sunday, Aaron and his group crossed the Columbia River Gorge and trekked into Washington State. . You can read more about Aaron’s journey on his blog. We hope to have an interview with Aaron when he returns to the Tri-Cities in a few weeks!
