This is a fair weather packing list which was utilized on a Mt. Adams climb in August of 2017. The total group was 21 people, with a team effort and encouragement, everyone made it to the summit. This climb REQUIRES crampons and ice axes, we rented crampons and ice axes for those who did not have them.

Hiking boots, ankle high, stiff sole (well broken in)
Sunscreen
Sunglasses (wraparound and dark are best)
3 pair wool socks
2 underwear
2 shirts (not cotton) 1 short sleeve, one long sleeve
Thermal layer
Outer shell jacket (waterproof or water resistant)
Fleece layer
2 Pair of Gloves (one winter type, one lighter weight)
Waterproof pants or good warm pants and some very heavy gauge plastic sheeting for glissading (sliding down the snow).
Stocking cap
Sleeping bag
Sleeping pad
Foil emergency blanket
Mini Book of Mormon
Compass
Tent, The tent should be free-standing as we will be camping at “Lunch Counter” base camp the first night and it is quite rocky.
