I haven’t done it in a while so I decided to ride my mountain bike up the Dallas Road/Skyline Trail today. I wanted to get some video of the trip back down too. Hopefully, you’ll enjoy the video. The trip up was a challenge, pedalling all the way gets kind of tiring. The wind was in my face as I got to the ridge, up from the north side of Badger Mountain. I kept working my way up. I saw no one on the way up. Got to the top in about 24 minutes and relaxed at the east tower for a short time. A few hikers came up from the Canyon Trail. I saw one couple and we had a nice chat, then, I saw another hiker whom I had seen the day before and we exchanged greetings. Then, I rigged up my Flip Video camera to my helmet and buckled in for a quick ride back down to the trailhead. I had one incident where I got off the trail (you can tell where in the video). Also, the video camera is pointed a little lower than I was hoping for but it gives you a real feeling like you’re in the saddle. Hope you enjoy! Just by way of information; bicycles are only permitted on the Skyline/Dallas Road Trail and the Sagebrush Trail (as long as you launch from the water towers).
Thanks for sharing your video. I am going to start riding Badger after the Challenge. Riding is not my favorite but I need to push myself.
