After a bicycle ride up the Skyline Trail the other day (see blog on that ride here), a friend reminded me you can bicycle on the new Sagebrush Trail too. Since I never cycled through the sagebrush, I decided to give it a run today. The forecast 50 + MPH winds were howling and nearly blew me off my bike a couple of times. My legs screamed a little but I was able to pedal all the way to the top. Fighting the wind much of the way, it took about 25 minutes.
The sky was clear but the wind made it a bit chilly. I saw about 3 other people hiking and I had a brief chat with one hiker/farmer from Pasco at the summit as I was rigging up my camera to shoot a video on the way back down. The trip back down took about 9 minutes! Top speed on the descent was about 25 MPH. Enjoy the video!
