I am pretty amazed at the beauty on Badger Mountain that just keeps on coming! When I was on the mountain again, Canyon Trail, I noticed a trend of yellow flowers of many varieties. Sure, there are some purples, blues and plenty of green with our recent moisture but the yellow really caught my eye. In this picture, I shot 3 different yellow flowers with balsamroot in the background. I’m not sure on the identity of the other flowers, please help if you know them and comment below.
I also saw another twisty plant with small yellow flowers that had vibrant colored blooms. I’m trying to educate myself and others on the identity of these flowers so please comment below if you can identify this one.
There are still plenty of other colors on the mountain (and on many of the other desert hikes I’ve listed). This tiny purple flower requires a keen eye.
Thanks for checking out this post, please post comments in the area below to help with plant identity. I appreciate it, Paul
