I was excited to get up on Badger Mountain for a view of the sunrise. Since I had the day off, I could be at the summit for the first morning sunrays.

I got to the top with my motivations playing in my ear (podcast). Feeling pretty good, warmed up and heart pumping. I was surprised to see a few people coming down as I went up, too bad they didn’t have time to see the sunrise.
I set up my camera and took a few pictures. I was happy to see a fellow nurse jogging up the trail for a morning workout alongside her boyfriend. They are fortunate to have younger bodies and knees!
I came across one couple, the lady was hustling down the trail and they twisted her ankle, she had to hobble her way back down with the help of hiking poles.
Another acquaintance, Ted got to the top as I was there taking in the view.
On my way back down, I ran across one of my heroes, Dick. He hikes Badger Mountain almost daily as he works to be as healthy as possible for his 60 plus years and history of heart surgery.
Another, unwitting motivator was this woman who is teaching her baby early about the beauty that surrounds us by carrying her in a backpack!
