The other day I was working and looked out the windows and saw the bright sunshine on the snow. I longed to be outside, hiking Badger Mountain and breathing in the crisp, cool air.
Well, today came and I was off so I got my wish! The only problem was the trail got well used over the weekend and the trampled snow had melted and turned to ice.
It was a beautiful day for a hike though. I saw three other people along the Canyon Trail. They were smarter than me. They had hiking poles and some type of traction device on their boots. I was still happy with the hike making it to the top in just 27 minutes.
I only fell once at the top of the climb. The view was beautiful. There were low-lying clouds but the top of Badger was in the clear.
