The other day I was working and looked out the windows and saw the bright sunshine on the snow. I longed to be outside, hiking Badger Mountain and breathing in the crisp, cool air.
Well, today came and I was off so I got my wish! The only problem was the trail got well used over the weekend and the trampled snow had melted and turned to ice.
On Top of the World!
It was a beautiful day for a hike though. I saw three other people along the Canyon Trail. They were smarter than me. 
They had hiking poles and some type of traction device on their boots. I was still happy with the hike making it to the top in just 27 minutes.
I only fell once at the top of the climb. The view was beautiful. There were low-lying clouds but the top of Badger was in the clear.
