Its been a couple weeks since I’ve been on Badger Mountain and I’d heard there were some trail adjustments. In fact, they can really use some more help and volunteers to do some finishing touches. Please contact the Trailmaster Jim Langdon with Friends of Badger Mountain 943-3992. He would love to have your group or just a few helpers pitch in. Their website says there are no work crews currently planned but they are working many days each week.
This new section is more than just an adjustment, its a major re-routing of the Canyon Trail, bypassing the rocky “ankle breaker section” (as one of my Badger loving friends calls it).
It was a beautiful day on Badger, fairly heavy traffic with lots of people out enjoying the spring weather.
I got a nice picture of this little bird with its beautiful yellow markings.
The most exciting thing about this morning’s hike is the color that is starting to blossom on Badger Mountain! Watch for a blog on the early spring flowers that are already bringing some extra beauty to this wonderful hike!
