There are still plenty of flowers blooming on Badger Mountain but there was one blooming close to the ground that I could not identify. If you have any ideas on this, please let me know.
I wanted to get up to the top of Badger Mountain for the sunrise but it’s getting earlier and earlier! So, I managed to pull myself out of bed and head for the hill. With sunrise around 5:22 a.m., I knew I’d have to hike briskly. I got to the top in good time and saw a halfway decent sunrise.
I also saw several other flowers in bloom, yarrow, hawksbeard, balsamroot, fleabane and more. The early morning is a beautiful time to hike. You get to see the sunrise and the traffic is fairly light.
