I was on a bicycle ride today, riding hard to try and build up some body heat when I rode by Richland’s Gold’s Gym. I took a detour through the parking lot because my wife was going there and I was hoping to catch her. I noticed how full the parking log was. I was happy for this as I’m sure many of the people at the gym recently joined in hopes of losing weight, toning muscles, being more fit or other health related ambitions. I also realized that if I stopped there each week, the numbers of cars would dwindle as new year’s resolutions go by the wayside.
I hope this isn’t the case but history tends to repeat. What do you think is the key to staying on track? Please leave your comments below. Thanks, Paul
I don’t know about the gym’s parking lot, but last year I lost nearly 40 pounds just walking with a friend and keeping track of my calories (which I’d never ever done before). I think having a buddy to encourage you who will actually keep up on it with you is key. I was/am so very sad she moved away in August. It’s been so much harder lately to keep losing!
40 lbs! That is awesome, keep up the great work! I hope you don’t get too discouraged and find others who will help you stay motivated! Do you do much hiking? Check out Hector’s story here, maybe it will help motivate you. Please spread the word to your friends and others about hiketricities.com! Thank you, Paul
