A large chunk of rock struck one of the most photographed bridges in the Pacific Northwest recently.
KPTV reports the bridge could be closed through Memorial Day. The rock made a large hole in the bridge which leads to a vantage point and hiking trail to the top of the falls (you can see more about the hiking trail here in this hiketricities.com post). No one was injured in the incident and there are no known witnesses. KPTV reports the bridge was built in 1915.
