Only 7 days until the 2014 Badger Mountain Challenge. It’s a great event, now in its fourth year. The Badger Mountain Challenge is an event to help raise money to support trail efforts in the Columbia Basin. It includes a 100-mile race, a 50k race and a 15k race. I’m excited to get to do the 15k again. This will be my third Badger Mountain Challenge, you can see my report on the 2011 event here. I had to work so couldn’t do the 2012 but here is my report on the 2013 event.

This morning, I decided I need some more trail time to prepare for the Badger Mountain Challenge. Riding the bike is not preparing me sufficiently. I hiked the Skyline Trail off Dallas Road. I saw several people even though I was up there before sunrise. At the top, I took a minute to shoot a video of the beautiful view, you can click on it below. I’ll probably be up on Badger a few times this week, maybe I’ll see you up there. I’ll also be at the Badger Mountain Challenge on Saturday, make sure you say hello if you see me!
