What a great sign of spring on Badger Mountain! I was hiking the other day and started seeing several varieties of yellow flowers.

I was hiking on the new Orchard View Trail, which is on the south side of Badger Mountain.

Here’s another yellow beauty. Can you identify this one? I need a little help here, please comment below.
This side gets the most sun exposure so the other trails are playing catchup in the bloom department but they will all be coming on strong in the next few days.

The beautiful purple colors of Purse’s Milk Vetch
Then, we’ll have a couple of months of beautiful color on the local trails before the heat kicks in and dries things out.
